Two Ingredient Flatbread

Two Ingredient Flatbread

During the warmer months the BBQ gets a work out, which is great because the heat is out of the kitchen. I love making these flatbreads as a quick side dish addition and the boys love eating them. They top them with BBQ meat and add some cheese, sauce etc and fold over and eat.

INGREDIENTS

1 Cup Plain Flour

½ Cup Water

Optional: salt and pepper, herbs and spices, grated cheese

LETS PUT IT ALL TOGETHER

  1. In a large bowl simply mix together the flour and water and any additions if you are adding them to form a soft dough. You may need to add a little more water or flour to get the right consistency.
  2. Allow to rest for 10 minutes then divide the dough into 4. Roll out in a floured surface and then cook on the BBQ or a dry hot frypan. Cook on the first side until you get some browning and then flip and cook until the other side gets some browning as well.

These are perfect to use as wraps, dip into dip, eat with a curry or wet meal or just a quick bread alternative.

Makes 4 (the mixture can be doubled, tripled etc)

Store in the fridge on a wrap plate for 2 days. Reheat before eating.

Hi Kelly, I haven’t tried freezing them however they should be fine if wrapped in cling wrap and are air tight.
