This week I have a very easy way to make meat free sausage rolls to keep your vegetarian family and friends happy. Again I am teaming up with Colonial Farm to bring you vegetarian twists on Australia Day classic foods. All Colonial Farm products are 100% Australian Made and Owned.
These Spicy Bean Nacho Balls are also perfect served just as they are as. I can imagine myself dipping them in some sour cream and tomato relish..perfect. Since I am putting a twist on Aussie Day classics, they make the perfect filling for a meat free sausage roll. With two simple steps you will have these on the table and in the mouths of your family and friends.
You will find these Spicy Bean Nacho Balls in the frozen section (with other vegetarian based frozen foods) of Coles only Nationally.
INGREDIENTS
1 Packet Colonial Farm Spicy Bean Nacho Balls
1 Sheet Puff Pastry
Egg, whisked
Sesame Seeds
Tomato Relish Dipping Sauce (optional)
LETS PUT IT ALL TOGETHER
1. Place the balls onto a lined baking tray and bake in a 200 degree celicus oven for 10 minutes. (Recommended full cooking time is 16 minutes). After the 10 minutes remove from the oven (leave the oven on) and allow to cool slightly.
2. Take the puff pastry and cut in half length ways. Place 4 balls on each half and then fold the pastry over to seal. Cut in between each ball to form a mini sausage roll shape. Place onto a lined baking tray.
3. Brush them with the whisked egg and sprinkle with some sesame seeds. Return to the oven and bake for 10 minutes or until golden.
Serve with tomato relish
