The school holidays is drawing to an end and everyone is busily preparing for back to school. The book list is ticked off, the school uniforms are washed and hung, new school shoes sit awaiting their first day. What’s for LUNCH MUM??
The thought of making lunch for school five.days.a.week is enough to send some parents running for cover, especially if it is 10pm at night and you have just remembered.
I have searched through my recipes for the past 2 years and tagged all the recipes that are perfect for the school lunchbox. Most of them can be frozen and then placed straight into the lunchbox and be defrosted for lunchtime, others can be kept in the fridge for several days.
I also made a lunchbox ideas list last year, you can download it for FREE by clicking here
I am also linking up with the lovely Susan form FROST BITE. She is the expert in all things frozen and here is her post on making SANDWICHES and FREEZING them for the lunchbox, it definitely takes the guess work out of what to put in the sandwich.
And if you are still stuck for ideas or organisation, Wendy from VEGIE SMUGGLERS has a SCHOOL LUNCHBOX E-BOOK with meal planners for the terms and great Vegie smuggling recipes. At only $14.95 it is great value. CLICK HERE FOR PURCHASE DETAILS.
I hope that you now have some inspiration to start off the school year. If you have other great recipes you would like to share with everyone please email me at cookingforbusymums@gmail.com so I can include them.
