Mint, chocolate, bark they are all words that can be used to describe Christmas and they can also be combined together to make this totally indulgent Christmas treat.
Thinner than a rocky road this Christmas favourite doesn’t require perfection or accuracy it just needs a couple of willing helpers and bowl lickers *insert kids.
All you need is three ingredients and your set.
INGREDIENTS
400gm Old Gold (Dark Chocolate)
300gm (1 1/2 packets) Mint Chocolate Biscuits
Spearmint Leaves
LET’S PUT IT ALL TOGETHER
- Break up the chocolate into a large microwave safe bowl. Set to medium high and 1 minute and 30 seconds, heat the chocolate. This time is for a 1200watt microwave. Remove from the microwave and mix the chocolate until all of the chunks are melted and it is smooth. Note: you don’t want to overheat the chocolate. The residual heat in the bowl will heat the chocolate as you mix.
- Break up the mint chocolate biscuits and add to the melted chocolate. Stir to combine well.
- Spoon on to a lined baking tray and spread out. Place spearmint leaves randomly over the top. Place in the fridge to set for 1 hour.
- Remove and break into pieces/bark. It will break unevenly and randomly.
Best enjoyed straight from the fridge.
Store in the fridge for as long as it lasts before it is all eaten.
What a great idea for Christmas, can’t wait to make this one!
