Mint Slice Chocolate Bark

Mint Slice Chocolate Bark

Mint, chocolate, bark they are all words that can be used to describe Christmas and they can also be combined together to make this totally indulgent Christmas treat.

Thinner than a rocky road this Christmas favourite doesn’t require perfection or accuracy it just needs a couple of willing helpers and bowl lickers *insert kids.

All you need is three ingredients and your set.

INGREDIENTS

400gm Old Gold (Dark Chocolate)
300gm (1 1/2 packets) Mint Chocolate Biscuits
Spearmint Leaves

LET’S PUT IT ALL TOGETHER

  1. Break up the chocolate into a large microwave safe bowl.  Set to medium high and 1 minute and 30 seconds, heat the chocolate.  This time is for a 1200watt microwave.  Remove from the microwave and mix the chocolate until all of the chunks are melted and it is smooth. Note: you don’t want to overheat the chocolate.  The residual heat in the bowl will heat the chocolate as you mix.Mint Slice Chocolate Bark Mint Slice Chocolate Bark
  2. Break up the mint chocolate biscuits and add to the melted chocolate.  Stir to combine well.Mint Slice Chocolate Bark Mint Slice Chocolate Bark
  3. Spoon on to a lined baking tray and spread out.  Place spearmint leaves randomly over the top. Place in the fridge to set for 1 hour.Mint Slice Chocolate Bark Mint Slice Chocolate Bark
  4. Remove and break into pieces/bark.  It will break unevenly and randomly.

Best enjoyed straight from the fridge.

Store in the fridge for as long as it lasts before it is all eaten.
