Mild Salami and Cream Cheese Scrolls - easy and fun afternoon tea (video)

Mild Salami and Cream Cheese Scrolls – easy and fun afternoon tea (video)

On the afternoons when I don’t work and pick the boys up straight from school I like to make them a fun afternoon tea before they start homework or go and play.  They are always STARVING when they get home and I like to provide a balanced choice that will sustain them until dinner time.

I have two little salami fans and decided to do something fun and easy with it.  Rolling up the salami that has been spread with cream cheese and then added to a Jatz biscuit proved to be a hit.  They can even make them for themselves now.  I added some fresh grapes and a glass of milk and afternoon tea was sorted.

The perfect afternoon tea is ideally low in sugar, high in protein and dairy and with some added carbohydrates, a little fat and a serve of fruit or vegetables.

Watch this 10 second video to see them come together.

INGREDIENTS

1 Packet of D’Orsogna Deli Fresh Mild Salami (contains 8 large slices)

Cream Cheese

Jatz Biscuits

Fruit

LETS PUT IT ALL TOGETHER

1. Take a slice of D’Orsogna Mild Salami from the resealable packet.  Spread with a thin layer of cream cheese, roll up and cut into 4.  Place onto a Jatz Biscuit.  Add another Jatz biscuit on top and sandwich together if you like.  Serve with fresh fruit.

Switch it up and try with ham or chorizo also available in the D’Orsogna Deli Fresh Range at Woolworths.
