D’Orsogna Deli Fresh English Ham, Cream Cheese and Cucumber Pinwheel Sandwiches

Looking to add some variety to kids lunchboxes or how about a make ahead sandwich for your next party? This week Matt and I have a fun twist on the normal sandwich, D’Orsogna Deli Fresh English Ham, Cream Cheese and Cucumber Pinwheel Sandwiches. These were so much fun to make and they tasted pretty good too.

The D’Orsogna Deli Fresh English Ham was the perfect size for the bread so you got a piece in every pinwheel without having to play jigsaw puzzles.  These pinwheels are recommended to be refrigerated for 2 hours which makes them a perfect make ahead sandwich for kids parties or prepare in the evening and then cut up in the morning for the school lunchboxes.  Which ever way you go you won’t be disappointed.

Watch Matt and I make them here:

INGREDIENTS

1 Pkt D’Orsogna Deli Fresh English Ham
6 Slices White or Wholemeal bread, crusts removed and chilled
150gm Cream Cheese, softened
1 Continental Cucumber, cut into strips
Salt and Pepper

LETS PUT IT ALL TOGETHER

1. Spread each slice of bread with cream cheese.
2. Lay a slice of D’Orsogna Deli Fresh English Ham on each and strips of cucumber.
3. Roll each slice up tightly in plastic wrap and refrigerate for 2 hours.
4. Unwrap and slice into little round pinwheel sandwiches.

These could be easily made in the evening left in the fridge overnight and then sliced in the morning to go straight into lunch boxes.

Makes 36 pinwheels

We love many varieties of sandwiches but a favourite is roasted pumpkin or sweet potato with shaved turkey, baby spinach, avocado, camembert & pesto
