Hands up if you’re a bit exhausted after getting the kids back to school? I know I am, these first two weeks have been crazy juggling two schools, two drop offs and pickups, fitting in work around these times, the start of homework, all the school notices to read….I am just exhausted recounting them.
As busy mums we need to take five for ourselves each day and I have five Milk & Co Mum Gift Packs to giveaway each day next week. A little something that you can treat your body to each night to recharge, ready for the next day.
To enter simply keep an eye out on Facebook every morning next week as I will post a different question each day. Simply answer in the comments under the Facebook post and I will pick a winner at 8pm each night. Full terms and conditions are at the bottom of this page.
Back in November I partnered with Dairy Australia’s Legendairy initiative and our family started our dairy journey. During this time I have enjoyed finding ways to add more dairy into our diet and sharing many new recipes (link) using dairy with you. I have also been able to share delicious creations from The Dairy Kitchen – and they’ve featured one of my recipes in their new Start and End Your Day with Dairy e-cookbook!
My family love dairy and already consumed it on a daily basis so partnering with Legendairy was a great fit from the beginning. Throughout this period I have been actively looking at what dairy we are actually consuming and making sure that we are all eating the recommended serves. We would be crazy to miss out on such a nutrient packed food group; especially one that’s so easy, healthy and delicious to include into our meals each day. Some of our favourites from The Dairy Kitchen were the Mexican Filo Triangles and the Apple-Berry Cream Cheese Scrolls – two delicious, easy recipes our entire family could agree on.
I would also like to thank you all for taking the time over the past five months to like, comment, read and try my new recipes using dairy; you are all Legendairy! I hope you are all actively starting and ending your days with dairy now too.
Legendairy also has a fantastic competition running on its own website to win one of 100 Back to School prize packs. Click here to enter.
I know there is a lot of confusion about what we – and our families – should and should not eat, in fact, a study from the Food Information Council Foundation found that almost half the population believe it is easier to figure out how to do their own taxes than to figure out how to eat healthily. If you have any questions about nutrition and dairy foods head to the Legendairy Start and End page and you’ll find lots more information. You can even email any specific questions to Emma, a Dairy Australia Dietitian and fellow Mum.
I love reading your blog and would love to enter the milk giveaway but am disappointed that it is on Facebook as I am not.
